Paul Pogba
EPSN journalist Miguel Delaney has given his verdict on Man United’s interest in Juventus midfielder Paul Pogba and the reported (via the Daily Star) £61 million bid made for him yesterday. The journalist claims that Man United are “clearly interested” in him.
Pogba, 21, has been a revelation at Juventus and impressing many with his abilities. The box-to-box midfielder, as it is well documented, was at Man United for three seasons.
Delaney was asked whether there was any truth in Man United’s reported £61 million bid for the France international. He told ESPN’s Live Transfer Chat: “Not that I’ve heard.”
The journalist was asked about Man United’s interest in Pogba, whether the Red Devils were actually interested in him and if a deal was viable.
Delaney said to ESPN’s Live Transfer Chat:”United are clearly interested in Pogba – and, as well know and has been much discussed, it was one of their great mistakes to let him go – but the competition for him is only going to escalate.”
The French midfielder, who represented France at the 2014 World Cup, left Man United in 2012, after failing to agree a contract, as confirmed by Sir Alex Ferguson and Man United’s official website. However, despite his general lack of game time at Old Trafford, Pogba made his Premier League debut whilst at Man United , in a clash against Stoke City in 2012.
Furthermore, four days later, Pogba also made his European debut, during Man United’s clash with Athletic Bilbao. The French midfielder came on in the 63rd minute replacing Man United stalwart Micheal Carrick.
But following his move to Turin with Juventus, Pogba has developed into one of Europe’s best box-to-box midfielders, despite being just 21-years-of-age.
Pogba has been a regular for Juventus from virtually the start. In his debut season, he appeared 27 times, scoring five times. While in his second season, he played 36 times – scoring seven times in the league. While this campaign, he’s managed five goals in 16 Serie A games.

He said that the aim was to dissuade young people from joining or being used by Boko Haram and its sponsors.
He added that “we want to use the movie to spread the message that Nigerians must resist any group who seeks to use intimidation as a means of gaining power.’’
He explained that the movie would also help the citizenry to take active steps toward fighting terrorism.
He said “the movie is a project anchored on strategic and responsible student participation in nation building.’’
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that “Dance of Vipers” is an epic movie set in pre-colonial Igbo community.
The movie is entirely a work of fiction that mirrors the present-day Nigeria with the message that Nigerians must resist the use of intimidation as means of gaining power.
Divided into six parts with each part containing 13 episodes, the movie will premier at the Silver Bird Cinema, Abuja, before the end of January. (NAN)
